Slow Cooked Tomato Beef Stew (Tomato Bredie)

Who does not like a good hearty stew? I love my slow cooker, especially on those busy days. Quickly prepping all the ingredients and popping everything into the slow cooker knowing there is lovely stew awaiting the family at the end of the day, bliss!

It is a great way to hide all those green veggies the kids might not be so fond of and to clear out the last of veggies in the fridge. Nothing goes to waste in my kitchen!

Beef stewing meat is also one of your cheaper red meats, so great way to stretch the budget a bit further. I also love that this recipe makes at least 8 servings so its great to feed a large family. For our family of four I usually freeze the leftovers or we simply have it two days in a row... No complaints about leftover suppers in this household!

If you remove the bones (the meat should be clear off them when ready to serve) you can even turn the leftovers into a soup. Turning the leftovers into a bean soup is delicious and at only the cost of a bag of beans, my budget is smiling!

Enjoy!
